Ashen Blood Beast Patient ❘ 灰血の獣患者	Strong Enemy

Description These Beast Patients share the same basic attacks as the other types, and those with glowing red eyes will also inflict poison build-up if they hit you. The hooded cloak they wear shields their eyes so they do not recoil in fear at the sight of small flames like the male versions, but they do still share the same weakness to fire attacks. They usually appear in groups both with other females and males, and having your Torch out while fighting mixed groups can be very beneficial, because it will allow you to focus on the females while the males recoil from the flame. You can further use this to your advantage by luring females over to recoiling males so that they group up and you take multiple enemies out at once with well placed Molotovs. At close range they will often use a swift shoulder charge, which can be difficult to avoid; if you're just outside their reach, they may try to close the distance with a combo attack, which carries them forward as they perform it. In addition, they will often perform a close-range grab attack that, causes enormous poison build-up and is almost guaranteed to fill your meter instantly. Strategy Fight them as you would the smaller females, but watch out for their grab attack at close range - they will slowly raise both hands above their heads, spread their arms and lunge forward, giving you plenty of time to strafe or quickstep out of the way. Interrupting or staggering these slow-moving enemies is the easiest way to defeat them, but quickstepping forward through any of their attacks and hitting them with an R1 combo while they recover is effective too. Beware of the poison build-up from their attacks, though, because it can increase very quickly; if you do get hit it's better to be cautious and use an Antidote rather than run the risk of getting poisoned. Ashen Blood Beast Patient Effect Enemies in Ashen Blood Beast Patient vicinity get buff visually represented by the Red Eyes. In Old Yharnam affected enemies have stronger attacks, get Slow Poison property for them and HP boost. This effect is lost when enemies gets too far away or Ashen Blood Beast Patient is killed, in the latter it takes around 10 seconds for the effect to be lost. Exception are the Scourge Beasts who additionally gets idle animation that recovers their HP and effect is permanent. One that is in the cave with Blood-starved Beast in Hunter's Nightmare will shriek only once providing 3 Beast Patients (Male) with initial buff that wears off in about 20 seconds. Notes Preset Chalice Dungeons: Ailing Loran, Lower Loran All enemies and bosses (except hunter enemies) have 999 frenzy resistance, despite that they are still vulnerable to such status. The only way to see it without modding is to use Shaman Bone Blade on enemy inflicting frenzy to attack others. Pungent Blood Cocktails attract this enemy, making it vulnerable for few seconds. Shaman Bone Blades affect this enemy, making it hostile to other enemies. Watch out for its most lethal move, the grab attack.
