Gravekeeper Scorpion ❘ 墓守サソリ	Regular Enemy

Description Gravekeeper Scorpions can be dangerous opponents due to their high defense, immunity to visceral attacks and ability to inflict rapid poison. These small arachnids have low health, but move quickly and are very aggressive; they will constantly run toward you in an attempt to keep you at close range, attacking with their claws and stingers as soon as you're within reach. Although they cannot strike directly behind them, they will immediately perform a defensive sidestep to face you if you attempt to take up this position. Their melee attacks have very short reach, however, and longer weapons such as the Rifle Spear and the transformed Hunter Axe can hit them from beyond their range. Purely physical damage sources are useless, due to their high defense, but they'll take heavy damage from elemental attacks, particularly lightning; they also lack super armor and by augmenting a fast weapon such as the Kirkhammer or Ludwig's Holy Blade with Bolt Paper, you can stun them to death with a single R1 combo. Gravekeeper Scorpions will explode in a burst of poison mist when killed; the mist will build up your rapid poison meter if it touches you, so be sure to carry a few Antidotes for emergencies. Strategy Stand about three meters away from them while strafing to either side; this will cause all of their attacks to miss, allowing you to counterattack during their recovery. If you plan on using physical attacks, power up your weapon with Bolt Paper first or switch to a weapon that inflicts elemental damage, such as Tonitrus or the Burial Blade If you have Rosmarinus or the Flamesprayer, blast them with it while backing away as they chase you; alternately, you can lock off and aim a Molotov at the ground in front of you to strike them as they approach. Notes Preset Chalice Dungeons: Central Pthumerian Labyrinth, Lower Pthumerian Labyrinth, Isz Gravestone, Pthumeru Ihyll Despite Gravekeeper Scorpion having 999 Slow Poison resistance it is still vulnerable to such status. All enemies and bosses (except hunter enemies) have 999 frenzy resistance, despite that they are still vulnerable to such status. The only way to see it without modding is to use Shaman Bone Blade on enemy inflicting frenzy to attack others. [test video] There are two versions of Gravekeeper Scorpion, presumably male and female, only difference is their appearance. "Female" version has little scorpions attached to her body which will disperse when killed. Check photo documentation for details.

Pungent Blood Cocktails don't attract this enemy, making the item ineffective. Shaman Bone Blades affect this enemy, making it hostile to other enemies.

Multiplier A represents depth (1 - 5) of the chalice dungeon; multiplier B is layer (1 - 4) of the specific chalice dungeon; multiplier C is used when dungeon is Pthumeru Ihyll; multiplier D is for calculating blood echoes when additional curse rite is used.
