Loran Cleric ❘ ローランの聖職者	Strong Enemy

Description Loran Clerics are usually found hidden away in the corners of a room, from where they will continuously cast fireballs at you. Their fireballs aren't too powerful, but they travel very far - thankfully, they don't track well and are easily avoided by strafing. At mid to long range they will cast one or two quick fireballs, and occasionally a Large Fireball, which will deal a much larger amount of damage if it hits you. When approached at close range they'll begin to perform basic, interruptible swings using their staff. Their melee attacks are slow, deal relatively low damage can be and easily avoided, though they do have a heavy knockback effect. From behind, they are completely defenseless and will only attempt to turn to face you, making for an easy kill. Their most dangerous attack is their Flame Ring, which is incredibly difficult to avoid and will cover almost the entire area and deal obscene amounts of damage. Strategy Prioritize getting behind Loran Clerics as quickly as possible and use R2 strikes to flinch them out of their attacks. If they begin to charge for their Flame Ring, quickly line yourself up with their backs and use a charged R2 to stagger them for a Visceral Attack; their Flame Ring is most commonly used after being visceral attacked from behind, so with good timing you can repeatedly stagger them while they attempt to use it. You can also stand at close range to bait their slow melee attacks for interrupts; avoid quickstepping to the side when dodging, since they can turn around quickly before each swing. Notes Preset Chalice Dungeons: Ailing Loran All enemies and bosses (except hunter enemies) have 999 frenzy resistance, despite that they are still vulnerable to such status. The only way to see it without modding is to use Shaman Bone Blade on enemy inflicting frenzy to attack others. [test video] Loran Cleric can be found in some test dungeons under the name of "Degenerate Beast". Farming: F/R/C Lower Loran L2, 3r6pa2xx, [tested 08 April, 2018] there is one Loran Cleric near the layer lamp. Their Flame Ring AoE attack has broken properties, this video showcases its level of destruction. During casting the Flame Ring Locar Cleric has speaking animation, as seen in this video.

Pungent Blood Cocktails don't attract this enemy, making the item ineffective. Shaman Bone Blades affect this enemy, making it hostile to other enemies.

Ritual Materials: Drop Pools

For the most part, items dropped by enemies are decided simply by a random per cent chance from that enemy's own list of potential items. When an enemy appears in a dungeon, it sometimes has one or more of its drops determined by the dungeon's Depth, in order to give better rewards for more challenging dungeons. Such items are selected from a pool of similar items, and these pools are shown here. The upshot of this is that an enemy might drop a Tomb Mold (1) in the Depth 1 Pthumerian Root Labyrinth, but would drop a Tomb Mold (5) instead in a Depth 5 Isz Gravestone dungeon.
